Installation / Setup

To Connect instantly, just click on the Desktop Connect link in the upper right of our homepage.

Installation couldn't be easier. Any Windows XP or Vista based workstation can connect to your new Terminal Services based Remote Desktop. If your client doesn't look exactly like the one below, you will probably still be able to connect. For the latest version, download from Microsoft.

To create a custom desktop connection icon to connect:

1) Go to start, run, and type "mstsc" (no quotes) and press OK. (Also found in Start/Programs/Accessories/Communications.)

2) Click the options button on the lower right.

3) For computer name, specify TS.HostedBusinessServer.com, or TS.YourDomain.com

4) Select options for screen resolution and color depth. We recommend going full screen with 16-Bit Color.

5) You will also want to select to use your printers and clipboard from the local machine when you connect.

6) For Experience we recommend Broadband, unless you're on a slow connection and having difficulties. In that case select modem.

7) Finally back on the General Tab, select save as, find your desktop, and name the icon.
